 Sergeant Herrmann received the Purple Heart medal for wounds he received in
 the explosion of a roadside bomb near Baghdad that killed his friend and
wounded other comrades on 20 January, A.D. MMVII.

 Sergeant Eaton received the Purple Heart medal for wounds he received in
 the explosion of a roadside bomb near Kandahar on 17 August, A.D. MMXI.
